Galatians 5:19-21 | Acts of the Flesh

19The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity, and debauchery; 20idolatry and sorcery; hatred, discord, jealousy, and rage; rivalries, divisions, factions, 21and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
-Galatians 5:19-21 BSB
There is a distinct way that you can determine whether or not you are walking in the Spirit or according to the flesh. You can see either the acts of the flesh or the fruit of the Spirit. What is produced in your life?

If we look through this list, we can understand that it is by no means fully comprehensive of every sin, though it is definitively comprehensive to the extent of showing the results of fleshly living. Paul reminds them that those who make a practice of these things will not inherit the kingdom of God. In other words, it means that God will not be ruling in their lives.
Rather than taking up your time with a long worded devotion, I am compelled to encourage you to meditate upon this list. Consider yourselves in light of it. Do not justify your sin. Do not excuse your sin. Mortify the deeds of the flesh. Come before the Lord with a full heart of repentance.

For those of you who may read through this list of fleshly deeds and not find yourself in it, I say praise the Lord! Do not become proud in your righteousness. Humble yourself before the Lord and remember the warning that Scripture gives. Let anyone who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall.

Take some time this morning and confess your sins, repent from them, and rejoice in the salvation given by the Lord.
