John 3:1-21 | What am I going to do about it?

Have you ever thought on how to make something that is insecure become secure? If I take a rope, it by itself is insecure. I can tie it around my waist and jump off a cliff but it will not catch me. But if it was tightly tied off to a post that was anchored to the ground, it would be able to secure me. This is what I am looking to do in every area of my life. I am carefully and prayerfully bringing each area of my life and securing that to the Lord. I firmly believe this is what believers are called to.

If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. 2 Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. 3 For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
-Col. 3:1-3

20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
-Gal. 2:20

Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
-Heb. 12:1-2

I am setting myself aside that it may be Christ that lives in me. I understand that He is the Savior of all and so I am ensuring that my life is secure in Him. I do not want to be caught off guard by sin, by temptation, or weighed down by the cares and affairs of this life. I see the deadly poison that exists in the things of this world. So I want to live my life cautiously against those things and maintain my gaze on the only solution. I want to be a single minded man unto Christ.
