Proverbs 31:20
20She extends her hand to the poor,
Yes, she reaches out her hands to the needy.
-Proverbs 31:20
It is the heart of the Father to care for the poor and needy. It is the desire of the Son to see His bride, the Church, to walk in this same way. James makes this abundantly clear where he writes,
27 Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.

Is it not the fruit of the Spirit to love? Do we not have the mind of Christ? It is in our every duty and service unto the Lord to care for those that the Lord cares about. We love because He first loved us. He put His love within us. Having that, we ought to be those, more than any, that would care to walk in love to those in need.
