Student Ministry Volunteer Application

Thank you for taking the time to share with us about yourself. We want you to know that the following information will be kept confidential and only shared with appropriate pastoral staff members. In order to provide parents with a safe environment for their teen, all adult volunteers are required to have a background check on file (paid for by MV Church). This check is conducted by a company called Ministry Safe. You will receive a separate email to complete this. If you do not want to participate in a background check, please do not continue to fill out this application. You can contact the Youth Pastor if you have concerns.

MV Student Ministry Guidelines

The Holy Spirit, through the Apostle Paul, outlines guidelines for elders and deacons. I Timothy 3:2 and Titus 1:6 calls for church leaders to be “blameless” and “above reproach.” The idea here is not one of perfection, but rather one of trustworthiness, of godliness and of respectability. Though Youth Leaders are not elders or deacons, neither are we glorified babysitters. We are entrusted with the souls of teens who could be the next Billy Graham or Corrie ten Boom. Therefore, we ought to live lives that glorify God.

The following are areas of particular interest to us. Please keep careful watch over them. The following is a ministry code of ethics that we would ask you to abide by. Please initial the following if you agree to strive for these standards while ministering to youth.
I have read, understand, and promise to support and uphold the guidelines stated above in order to protect the integrity of MV Church and MV Student Ministry.
